Tool Kit

Rally tool kit

Duct tape, paper clips, cable ties, ratchet straps, C clamp, Maglite, wire, electrical tape, spare lights, spare fuses, Leatherman Wave, pipe wrench, adjustable wrench, plyers, cutters, 21mm spanner, 19mm spanner, 18mm spanner, small - large - long phillips screwdrivers, small - large - long flat screwdrivers, 3/8″ ratchet, 3/8″ metric sockets from 10mm - 18mm, Vice Grip plyers, 3 pound hammer, 1/2″ speed wrench, 1/2″ 19mm deep socket, tire pressure gauge.

This is after several refinements. The spanner wrenches correspond to the only 3 sizes needed for the Dodge Neon’s suspension.
If you think I’m missing something - please comment.

Update - Here’s what I’ll be adding to the kit:
lug nuts, hose clamps, additional vice grips, additional flashlight (LED if possible), bigger ratchet strap, oil, brake fluid, water bottle, empty container for filling stuff (empty the water bottle), misc bolts + suspension bolts, gloves (heavy ones and latex ones), socket extension, piece of plywood, universal joint for 1/2″ socket (make the speed wrench a breaker bar), spool of safety wire, spare belt(s) (power steering / alternator), towel, Neatsheet (lightweight waterproof tarp), rags

  1. Hose clamps, they come very havdy for a number of problems/applications.
Some bolts and their washers and nuts in a ziplock bag.
There is also a crazy tape that has no glue on one side, it amalgamates onto itself
it can be used for fixing a leaking hose or line and can be used as electrical tape aswell.
I always keep a lighter in my tool bag too, you never know when you’ll need one.

    Good luck

  2. As a fellow rally driver a BFH (Big f*$%ing Hammer) helps get dented body panels out of the way of tires and such, also a prybar if space allows…

  3. I would also have a 8,10,13,15mm that will take care of all the other bolts on the car and I thought the hub nut is a 32mm but I could be wrong on that I have not removed one in a while.
