On the pace note front - this may seem silly, but the pace note system I opted for was the one I got to use the most - the [speed/gear]-[direction]-[extra info] method, ala 6-left-tightens. It got used the most as it was available to me to practice anytime on my Playstation courtesy of Colin McRae Rally!

Another pace note quirk I have found is that some drivers have to have the notes in a certain format, for example, one driver I noted for could not take in [direction]-[speed] (e.g left-6) but could take in [speed]-[direction] (e.g. 6-left). As ever, experimentation to find the system that works is absolutely key.</description>
